Infinity Studies

The idea for this recording was quite simple – to combine layers of sound obtained from different acoustic instruments (tracks 1 & 3) or field recordings (tracks 2 & 4) for creating aural space which can be perceived at different levels. First, the emotional level of simple background listening (which is becoming more and more common nowadays), which corresponds with idea of Аmbient music in terms of Eric Satie & Brian Eno. Then structural, or "analytic" level, on which our rational mind builds the picture of "what and how", or at least tries to - because it's not always easy with drone music. Third level is "deep listening" (according to Pauline Oliveros ideas) which involves unfocused listening experience, when one allows the sound to be as it is, without building a distance between it and one's perception.. Reaching this point one may realize that sound contains much more than simply the sum of everything above and its impact on perception reminds the meditative state - full awareness without involvement to analysis and emotions. Tracks order and composition on this album are meant to create floating effect between all three levels, underlining that none of them is "true" or "better" - the wholeness of experience can be reached by synthesizing all of these levels and even finding more. Nuances, silent echoes, psycho-acoustic effects, ripple of harmonics, tape hiss and forest hums - all elements here meant to represent bigger picture, serving as hyperlinks to the qualia, subjective experience which we all share at some level but are unable to express verbally without losing the experience itself. It exists in a moment, and capturing the infinity of that moment was the intention of this work.

Malfunction As A Site of Resistance

'Malfunction As A Site of Resistance' unravels pre-recorded audio in order to build something new from the detritus of the commercial past. Investigate the creative possibilities and potential of broken machines. 1. Nonfunctional 05:05 2. Technical Difficulties 04:10 3. Never Do That In A Million Years 04:44 4. Where Is That Buzz Coming From? 03:27 5. We're Sorry, But We're Currently Unavailable 02:37 Resistance is achieved through breaking the normalized functionality of the machine. The machine is the scaffolding of Capitalism, it's the forgotten husk of an old cassette tape player, it's thrift store cassette audio, it's circuit bent guitar pedals, it's the crack and hiss of the electrical buzz and hum of too much electricity, and it's the human operator of these devices. Malfunction attaches them all to one another; they become a symbiotic machine through the blending of layers and the hand of guidance offered by the human machine. In '.....Resistance' and in general, Go As DeatH consistently delivers interesting, unique, crafted yet still freeflowing noise and sound collages, mashed with static crackle, dark tensions, alien waves, power electronics, heavy industrial klang. [Go As DeatH] is cassette tape/effects pedal-based Harsh Noise / Death Industrial from Las Vegas. Horror, nihilism, control, and consumerism are cut-up, looped, rearranged, and repeated. [side projects and collabs] Domestic Surveillance Tapes, Crotch Photograph, EXACERBATOR. goasdeath.bandcamp.com/music released October 6, 2025
