The sophomore follow-up to his underground debut Mufflers, this record trades its hazy suburban nostalgia for a sharper, more self-aware ache. scotty leans into warped textures and lo-fi warmth, blending quiet confessionals with glitchy soundscapes that feel both timeless and transient. Where Mufflers floated through late-night drives and static-drenched emotion, cintage confronts what happens after the motion stops, when you’re left with the echo of who you were trying to be. It’s vulnerable, gently distorted, and deeply human. The kind of album that hums like an old CRT screen and stays with you long after the track list ends.
A combination of early 90s industrial (Skinny Puppy, Nine Inch Nails, Coil, Tear Garden) and downtempo trip hop (Portishead, Sneaker Pimps, Tricky). Originally recorded and mastered to DAT in 1996, these songs sat around for 20 years until finally released on the internet. Since then Method of the W.O.R.M (or MotWORM for short) has been releasing new songs on Spotify.
Rosary was a New Jersey based alternative / goth rock band active from 1988-1993. With influences from Killing Joke, New Model Army, Bauhaus, The Damned, Nick Cave and the like they played various clubs in New York and New Jersey (CBGBs, Limelight, Pyramid, Contiental, Brighton Bar, Live Tonight etc) Starting as a five piece (vocal/keys: Garry Schafer, guitar: Robert Talisse, guitar: Peter Mascis, bass: Mike Calamari, drums: Matthew Cotter) Peter left after a few years and Rosary carried on as a four piece. They put out a 45 with Roses for Evalene / Mercy, recording many other tunes but never putting out a cd at the time. Everything was recorded in a basement in Oradell NJ onto a Fostex 1/4 reel.
