Animi Vultus

A descent into death, dissolution and rebirth. Built around the imagery of earth, blood and fire, this release moves through the space between grief and annihilation - where the body returns to the ground, identity is stripped away, and destruction becomes a passage toward something unknown. Ritualistic repetition and stark imagery create a world where death is not an ending, but part of an endless cycle. Black metal darkness meets ritualistic atmosphere, raw intensity and existential decay. No salvation. No return to what was. Only ashes, earth, and what rises from them. --- Released by Animi Vultus | AV005 Digital distribution AVE RECORDS LTD // Australia

Animi Vultus

The forest watches. The earth remembers. The night delivers its judgment. In the darkest depths of the forest, humanity is stripped of its protection. Moder jord - Mother Earth - awakens as an ancient and merciless force, sending beasts into the night to deliver her judgment. Flesh returns to the soil. Blood fills the earth. The boundaries between man, animal and nature disappear. This is not nature as sanctuary. It is nature as predator. Nature as judge. Nature as death. A primitive and ritualistic descent into the Swedish wilderness, where the night offers no escape and mankind is ultimately returned to the earth from which it came. Animi Vultus

Before the silence, there was doubt. ANIMI VULTUS returns to the most solitary corners of existence - consciousness, isolation, meaninglessness, and the absence of anything beyond the self. A raw black metal EP built from cold atmosphere, primitive aggression and existential darkness, exploring the human mind when faith has disappeared and nothing remains to give existence a higher purpose. There is no revelation here. No divine presence. No promised meaning. Only the individual, alone with consciousness, confronted by the void. Recorded in the raw tradition of underground black metal, this is music stripped of comfort and ornament - old, imperfect and uncompromising. An older chapter in the sound of ANIMI VULTUS.
