Light Held Still

Light Held Still is the third album from Bleeptwig — an ambient and electronic work shaped by an impressionistic approach to colour, texture, tone, and bursts of rhythmic intensity. Across ten tracks, the album explores light both directly and metaphorically: from the growing energy of “Expander,” to the vintage cinema haze of “In Silver,” to the blurred, refracted textures of “Warmth and Meaning” and “Consequent” alongside its darker drum and bass counterpart, “Travesty.” The record closes with the nostalgia-tinged warmth and ambience of “Comfort and Light.” Built from real instruments and live play processed through granular synthesis, tape loops, and detailed editing, Bleeptwig’s distinctive sound layers ambiguity and movement into immersive, shifting forms — like sunlight filtering through fabric..
