Time Was is the latest release from Matt Stevenson, and his first under the moniker BTMFDR. With these five tracks, Stevenson has left the dance floor behind entirely for blown-out soundscapes, smoke-scorched atmospheres, and chasmic voids. Ideas simmering for over a decade - buried deep, forgotten - are found again only through changes in form and the passage of time. Time Was is a record of reflection, denial, and change.
