A Threshold / Eine Schwelle, is the first split release by Gogol (AUS) and HELLBERG (DE). Step through a dense, cold space, slow, heavy, without haste, without turning back. Movement in the shadowy realm between threat and awe. Soundscapes like distant horizons, deep frequencies like subterranean rumblings. As if something immense were breathing in the darkness, and you can only hear its edges. Yet beneath the weight lies something else: a fragile musicality, almost invisible, like light you do not see but feel. No salvation rather, a quiet suggestion that even darkness has structure, and that something can emerge from it. - Gogol & HELLBERG --- Two projects I hold close to the nerve, finally intertwined.
