Turin

This is a very personal effort for me. “Turin” is an ambient, dreamy, lo-fi, reverent meditation on the Shroud of Turin. Believed by some to be a miraculous image of Christ, it is not officially recognized by the Catholic Church, although Pope Saint John Paul II considered the Shroud the be a “mirror of the Gospel.” On this album, I use the Shroud as a deep source of reflection. By combining sound samples, pop songs, chants, static, filters and distortion, these tracks become hymns to Christ. -Saint Elisabeth
