end, red dress
It all started with a generative soundpiece made for an art exhibition. Dense drones filled a secluded dark space: sometimes reinforcing, sometimes attenuating, but always humming and flowing tirelessly on and on and on. 'Great starting point for an album'.. or so I thought, since it evolved far and away from it over time. There are still inklings reminiscing on that initial piece though, so quit your yammering. You'll encounter a bit of guitar, a few sparse piano notes, subtle background noises. Fieldrecordings of woodlands and citylife. Some stray electromagnetic radio waves. Tears, joy, sand, leaves. Moulded together it forms these 4 unfolding stories with quite a tonal undertow, having a total running time just shy under 30 minutes. Made 20 physical pieces: a white cassette tape fitted snugly inside a blackish frame, with a complementary leaflet.

Do you like the sounds of subways, tennisballs, and metal scrapings? Or perhaps droning cogwheels, mechanical whirrings, buzzing electronics? Topped with hints of an everlasting void and covered in dust? Have I got something for you! Found some old fieldrecordings tucked away in a corner, collecting dust since 2008 waiting to be edited. Well, the wait is finally over! (Kept the dust, ofcourse). Molded it into 5 tracks, neatly spanning around 15 minutes. Furthermore: created a new track buzzing and muttering on for another 15 minutes, and lo! Everything fits nicely on a C30 cassette. Made 20 pieces, each cassette is held in a handcrafted white floating frame by a white string.
