The fourth EP continues following the last EP concept with the gradual removal of post black metal, as the songwriting falls further from harmonious patterns and delves deeper into serpentine dissonances and powerful, bleak atmospheric vortexes that were already explored in the previous record. The atmospheric black metal that permeates this record occasionally reveals sections of an orthodox hammering black metal whose directness stands in striking contrast to the more winding and dissonant passages surrounding them. One cannot help but wonder whether Galväo will eventually surrender entirely to the relentless blackened path towards which it seems to be marching with each successive offering while still imbuing it with a very peculiar but not surprising lusitanian melancholy.
