Punk influenced gothic folk rock. FFO Murder By Death and Wovenhand
Our Second LP. Listen to it! We started recording this smashfest sometime in Belgrade with Mitar from New Mortal Gods while we were touring eastern Europe. It was a wonderful tour full of nice impressions and sensless violence and Alcoholism. Fun Times! We only managed to finish the drums there, but they were solid enough that we decided to use them and added the extra instuments in Hamburg with our man Ryan iubesc who tracked guitars and Bass at Carajo Distortion Studio in Veddel and If we remember correctly vocals and some additional stuff like the Trumpetsolo in Haemmorhage at the off ya tree studio in HH-Billbrook. Eternal Thanks.
A glorious mix of Folk tunes from all over the world, Some Irish stuff, some Greek traditionals, some Klezmer, some Medieval, all mixed up Typical Fiddelaltermolk style.
Seven songs on a 7”. That is the proper usage of the format, in my opinion. A nice little slab of hardcore punk. The vocals are mostly sung with a nice attention to melody, which makes this much more of a pleasurable listen than if they were mostly screamed/shouted. It also avoids falling into the trap that a lot of bands like this tend to fall into by sounding dated. You can hear influence, yet it still manages to sound fresh. This one’s gonna get a lot of time on the turntable, I reckon. Matt McBracken, MAXIMUMROCKNROLL
Debut EP from Hamburg, Germany’s SHITSHOW with a five-song flurry, only one track of which times out after two minutes. This is mean, in-your-face, and to-the-point, with songs like “Kill” that blare out “No feet for the right wing / They kill, kill, kill!,” and “Cellphone Monkey” that shouts “Your best friend / Is just a machine, yeah!” Female vocalist, anger with a purpose, and catchy tracks? I’m in. Willis Schenk , Maximum Rocknroll
For all who are caught in the rat race, winter is coming! "Struggles" is about the pressure of everyday life, failing your own ego, social anxieties and finding your voice. Spinach-Rock’n’Roll at its best!
"A determined, furiously dark, animalistic blast of metal-jazz improv…” Selwyn Harris (Jazzwise) "Channeling both free jazz and a punk/metal vibe, Domene’s heavily distorted riffing and speed picking are juxtaposed with drones and urgently angular melodies from Sinton. Underneath, Caratti provides staggered rhythms. All three of these explorers have a penchant for twisting notes, irregular phrasing, and left-of-center explosiveness." Mike Borello (Avant Music News) * * * Iluso Records presents "Synaptic Self" by dMu. Channeling the dark arts of Tibetan mythology, drummer Mike Caratti (Original Past Life, Low My Guy) composed the music for the album, which features Josh Sinton (Ideal Bread, Nate Wooley's Quintet, Anthony Braxton's TriCentric Orchestra) on baritone sax and bass clarinet, and rising star Álvaro Domene (Joe McPhee, Karl Berger, Briggan Krauss) on guitar, whose exceptional performances give life to this demonic experiment. A guttural eruption of sounds from the worlds of avant-garde jazz and death metal, the album moves with the same menacing purpose as the dMu who graces the album cover, taking listeners on a gripping journey to an unknown world where the elements of contemporary creative music are distorted beyond recognition. The album was recorded and mixed at East Side Sound Studio in NYC by Grammy Award winning recording engineer Marc Urselli. dMu are: Josh Sinton: baritone saxophone and bass clarinet Álvaro Domene: electric guitar Mike Caratti: drums and compositions

3 THE HARDWAY is a band that truly does not care about your conventions. Founded in Detroit, Michigan in the autumn of 2022, they immediately carved out their own niche somewhere at the intersection of riot grrrl, proto-punk, and no wave. Built on a treacherous foundation of hypnotic primal rhythms, sharp, discordant guitar, and raw, enraged vocals, every song is a sonic threat! Since their inception, they have been fearless about launching their shocking sound directly at the public with 3 EPs, a full-length album, and an extensive history of live shows that would make most bands blush. On the evening of June 7, 2026 at No Dice in the city of New Orleans, the band played a set that was emblematic of the disorder they bring into the world -- thus LIVE! IN NEW ORLEANS was born! This live album captures exactly what makes the band so mesmerizing: crude energy, noise, and punk rock ethos all mangled together into one maniacal experience! Hit play and get lost in the havoc!
