Barrelly Ego
Pleasant Conversation
PC is an indie rock/alt-folk piece drawing its inspiration from the early 2010’s, from bands like Bombay Bicycle Club, Silversun Pickups, Dr. Dog, The Walkmen and so on. Conceptually it is a melancholic yet campy take on the good ol’ quote:
“’Tis Better to have loved and lost than never to have loved at all”
Lyrics:
No need for an invitation, you may do as you please
No need for an intervention, put your mind at ease
Let’s have a pleasant conversation,
with no PROs and CONs
It will be our little big vacation, allow me this once
Now you won, what’s done is done. hope you had fun
I can’t think of anyone, who would better at this game
It would be a crying shame, if we wouldn’t meet again
I’m taking in consideration, you already knew
I’m overwhelmed by the situations in which I have to chose
Who won, what’s done is done, hope you had fun
I can’t think of anyone, who would better at this game
It would be a crying shame, if we wouldn’t meet again
(again)
My heart burns, yours just turns to stone as we are heading home
With no loose ends or ruined plans,
I’m only questioning your sixth sense,
No loose ends or ruined plans
Just pretend…
That now you won, hope you you had fun what’s done is done
I can’t think of anyone, who would be better at this game
It would be a crying shame, if we wouldn’t meet again
Distract me from my random thoughts
Sleep it off don’t make it worse
Don’t grab the bull by the horns
