Knifework’s first transmission is a short, wonderfully diseased little machine: lo-fi old-school EBM circuitry, rusted industrial muscle, propulsive krautrock synth improvisations, minimal techno hypnosis and strange pockets of ambient nowhere-space, all stitched together with the logic of a malfunctioning dream. Synths crawl, pulse, sweat, accelerate. Rhythms appear from behind concrete. Little electronic ghosts flicker between the machinery. Inventive. Addictive. Spooky. Weirdly playful. And terribly, terribly brief. Before you fully understand what kind of place you’ve entered, Nothing is Coming is already gone—leaving only warm circuitry, phantom movement and a suspicious stain on the floor. A truly superb first apparition from Knifework. -Sir Kuliktavikt
Summery, downtempo, and post-rock-inspired palette of ambient electronica, this LP is a reflection of new life changes, academic studies in biology, and a life-changing trip to a Gulf Coast island that reset the mind. This album is ultimately devoted to our Earth, light inside the darkness of today, the microorganisms that are pure and sentient, quiet escapes like the beach at night. Solace is more important than ever. Take a trip to those places when you can and hang on.

After a 3 ½ month period of intensive work (and obsession) for my next Neotrantra album, what did I do but bang out a new self-release... 🤣 These are the shortest tracks I’ve released to date and all except the first were completed in a week. They are somewhat all over the place stylistically (all in the ambient realm of course), but the overall theme is the fusion of nature and technology. There is also a touch of a sci-fi influence. A number of the track titles (and sounds) are inspired by a massive book of J.G. Ballard short stories I recently started reading. Thanks to the Cousin Silas Emporium for the reference to that book. As always, thanks for listening...

an ambient 2 track ep inspired by emotions i felt during me walking around in a part of town late afternoon where i usually never go to, i found starving dying cats, walked next to the rail full of old rail eqipment, and saw houses that are empty. then these places where barely anyone comes and go is yet full of signs of life and presences.
