As with the previous SoundJam music compilations I’ve organized, I posted an open call for submissions for this album on the “Experimental Music” Discord server. Unlike the previous ones, this time I decided to add a small twist: I asked participating musicians to try creating their tracks in genres such as weirdcore and comedy. Otherwise, the assignment remained the same—to interpret the theme “Brewing Illegal Potions In Dwarf Toilets” in an interlude and a track of their own design. A total of 19 musicians participated in the project—namely: Zeph!, HïdeѲut, Dark Sun Arts, Cera Krisanaa, Meteor Mirage, The Small Pearl-Bordered Fritillaries, Chuckleverted Infutz, Outside House, snailmusic, DJ Train Tamer, Dim Light Over Trees, The Papertaker, ii@., WCI, Petar Pečur, Bennythedrill, [email protected], stanicamiru, Patricidal Jubilee, and me HïdeѲut.

Each participant had exactly one and a half months to create two tracks. While working on the music, we also began developing the album’s visual design. This was handled by an artist known here as “ii@,” while the typography was handled by artist and fashion designer Haruhi_Tan. As always, we held a group vote on the cover art’s style and decided it would be inspired by 80s and 90s low-polygon video games.

After all the tracks were completed, we held an online listening party where we approved the track order—which, for a change, I handled myself. Mastering was then handled by our amazing musician Patricidal Jubilee.
The entire compilation was released here on Bandcamp on July 15, 2026, and its creation took just under 3 months.
