Following up years of insane singles and remixes for Sorry Records and our friends over at Kindergarten Records and Juke Bounce Werk, Tampa-born/NYC-based producer Drummy makes his proper debut with four buoyant tracks full of tunneling techno, bass driven garage, wailing house, and thundering metal alongside a peak time hardgroove remix from Tennessee techno prodigy Max Watts (BANK, Haus of Altr). Mastered by UKG legend Mike Millrain (Nice 'N' Ripe, The Streets). Myrtle Ave Wetlands EP w/ Malik Alston & Malik Hendricks remixes [SR49]

We conceived this record as a musical love letter to our favorite club and musical institution, Bossa Nova Civic Club. The iconic street corner depicted on the cover is where we met over a spliff a few years back and serves as the backdrop for conversations that tie our rich music scene together. Bossa has been a musical home for many - including us, having both thrown parties there. When we decided to have our first recording session in early March 2020 at Brian's old loft by Myrtle Broadway, we ended up with the title track. It was clear that something clicked musically and we set forth to complete an EP, eventually finishing it during lockdown. The EP tells the story of a night at the club, moving from upbeat and airy to dark and claustrophobic tracks. In 2021 we got to road test "Myrtle Ave Wetlands" at Bossa and it went off, which is one the best confirmations that a tune is working. The EP includes remixes from NYC's Malik Hendricks and Detroit's Malik Alston, producers we greatly respect. We hope you enjoy this slice of music, inspired by our New York dance music heroes and infused with live instruments that we played. Sorry Records is over the moon to announce the first release since 2020 from Sweat Equity cofounder and our friend Alien D 👽 Four freaky new transmissions from Planet D mastered with love by Ali Berger and gloriously remixed by core sorry fam Drummy (Kindergarten Records) and west coast breakbeat legend Bassbin Twins who took two tracks and freaked em into a MEGAMIX 👅 I met Dan at Sustain-Release in 2018 and have been nipping at his heels ever since. His work with Brooklyn-based rave outfit Sweat Equity provided a blueprint for us early on and he was one of the first remixes we commissioned for Sorry Records. His music has moved us throughout the years too from countless solo releases to his work alongside Austin Peru of Vision Fortune on their collaborative experimental ambient leaning project Dekalb Works. Dan's a constant joy and thankfully consistent presence in both our lives and on the NYC dancefloor. He's also dirty at bowling. Support by Nick León & Bitter Babe, WTCHCRFT, T.Wan, Lychee, boxofbox, and more. Ayesha played it at Nowadays with K-Lone and Facta and Jubilee opened her wild Boiler Room set from this year's Bass Coast festival with the Bassbin Twins mix and livwutang played Drummy's remix in a recent Eto Ano Lot Radio show.
