I made this track around the first few months I moved to Melbourne. Thinking back to some of the times spent when growing up with friends I don't really keep in touch with anymore. One of the main ways I made friends in junior high was with pc games like gmod and Minecraft communicating over skype and teamspeak. And one of those days, was the last time we would be on gmod together, and we didn't know it. That's where this song's identity came from

In recent times especially, Meanjin (Brisbane) has showcased an extremely vibrant and exciting scene for sounds that loosely fall into the realms of shoegaze, dreampop, post-punk, alt. rock and myriad subgenres awash with heavy reverb, cymbal storms, and atmospheric vocals. As lovers of these sounds and the local artists who create them, 4000 Records' decision to create a time-capsule of some of the players at the forefront of this community was an easy and exciting one. Big love to all the amazing artists making noise in our fair city - long may your reverb ring out in small venues, community halls, under old Queenslanders, and through our stereo speakers.
