The Vecna this album refers to is The Whispered One. The true Vecna of D&D Lore, not the Stranger Things Vecna. This is a Crypt Hop album. Crypt Hop is a an amalgam of DungeonSynth and Hip Hop. I tend to use more Trip Hop and Fantasy Synth influence in my music. This album was written, recorded, and programmed one handed while recovering from shoulder surgery. The album is loosey themed around the character Vecna from the Greyhawk, Ravenloft, and Planescape Dungeons and Dragons Campaign Settings. Without the usage of my arm and hand I related to Vecna and did a deep dive into his lore.
"The Ultimate Adventure" is the debut album from Treguard, a dungeon synth project inspired by the late 80s / early 90s UK children's TV show Knightmare. These tracks build upon the Treguard Demo and delve further into the mysterious world of Knightmare. The ominous dungeon world exerts a mysterious power in return, dragging the recordings back into the world of late 20th century analogue, shrouded in cassette hiss.
