On Global Echo

Russell's Teapot's contribution to ECHØVEIL's Halloween-esque first anniversary is a little marvel of surreal, distorted dark ambient. A nightmare within a dream within yet another nightmare, unfolding inside the opiate-addled mind of a dying man, injected with a cocktail of synthetic substances as his derailing consciousness hallucinates multiple psychotic / psychedelic incarnations of Hell... An unreal track that slowly carves its own shadowy path beneath a cold metallic shower of austere field recordings, rancid proto-witch house, and dark ambient (with a heavy emphasis on the DARK here), all reeking of freshly deceased flesh. The maggot-spawning worms have only just begun their work on the still-warm carcass. -Sir Kuliktavikt

Grey Is The New Black And White - Vol. 19: Alloeclectica

This challenging release is a collection of tracks that I began working on while composing material on previous releases - but didn't quite fit into the centralized themes on those albums at the time. To explain the album title with my specious vocabulary 😁: The prefix "allo-" means opposite, other or different - with "eclectic" deriving ideas, style, or taste from a broad and diverse range of sources.

“The Stone Tape theory is a pseudoscientific claim that ghosts and hauntings occur when traumatic events are imprinted on certain stones or other materials and are subsequently replayed, similar to a magnetic tape recording. The idea of materials holding information from emotional events aligns with views of 19th-century intellectuals and psychic researchers, such as Charles Babbage, Eleanor Sidgwick and Edmund Gurney.” Dedicated to Sir Kuliktavikt - a most treasured, haunted friend: ugurgkuliktavikt.bandcamp.com exsomnus.bandcamp.com echoveil-records.bandcamp.com ugurgkuliktavikt.wordpress.com/echoveil

Grey Is The New Black And White - Vol. 21: Staticresistance

"Vol. 21: Staticresistance" was assembled using fragments of rough, low-quality four-track recordings from around 2006/2007 (around the time that I began creating and capturing my vocal, guitar, bass and drum recordings). These recordings have been given a "new life" on this release; with the application of heavy atmospheric effects, pitch shifts and time stretches.

Skótos

'Skótos' is a collection of gloomy soundscapes portraying a year of life in Scotland. Based on improvisation, deconstructed organic sounds and field recordings taken during everyday life, hikes and wild camping trips in the Highlands, this dark ambient piece serves as a kaleidoscope of intoxicated memories of the artist: constantly swinging between moments of joy and pure darkness, love and apathy, oneness with nature and hallucination, nostalgia and escapism, the album is a rough yet emotional journal of life experiences in one of the most fascinating and wild areas of Europe. 🌫️🌫️ Mastered by Marie Rose at Fix In The Mix LABS Logo & Cassette Layout by Mano Lesta 🌫️🌫️

Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt

„Der Schweinepriester“

A new enigmatic, mist-shrouded, dream-drenched sonic apparition from Sean Derrick Cooper Marquardt. Der Schweinepriester (The Pig Priest). The magnetic spell takes hold. A voice recites, adrift in a fog of tinkling bells, guitaristic mishaps, ethereal jazz phantoms, ambient noise wall (like a cloud above) and drones that fog up the windows of your souls, themselves so deliciously lost in the throes of their own exquisite perdition. The creator of a dreamlike, surrealist world whose endlessly fascinating nooks and crannies we are invited to explore, one record at a time. Releases that have, over the years, gradually become entries in an intimate sonic diary to which we have been granted the extraordinary privilege of access. A wondrous artist whose creative journey remains a perpetual miracle. -Sir Kuliktavikt

no radio this time?

NO RADIO THIS TIME? conceptual sound work which explores the invisible architecture of the contemporary environment. What we perceive as silence is, in reality, a dense and continuous field of electromagnetic activity. Radio transmissions, wireless communication, navigation systems, satellites, and countless digital infrastructures coexist around us, occupying the same physical space while remaining beyond the limits of human perception. The work investigates this hidden presence, not as technology, but as landscape. Field recordings become a point of departure, gradually intersecting with translated radio activity, electronic textures, and spatial sound processes. The distinction between natural ambience and technological interference begins to dissolve, suggesting that today's environment can no longer be separated into "nature" and "signal." Instead, both coexist as components of a single acoustic ecology. FIELD ultimately asks a simple question: Does silence still exist, or has it merely become inaudible?

Stokhid

Limited Edition Codes An audio work in which natural sounds serve as the foundation for a deep immersion into a space constructed from resonance, vibrations, and analog frequencies. Field recordings of underground rivers, impenetrable forests, and swamps blend with analog frequencies, resonating with the recordings themselves and gradually creating a dense, fluid soundscape—a kind of primordial natural cradle. Prolonged oscillations, deep resonances, and slow shifts immerse the listener in a living, almost unknown environment. Sounds gradually lose their boundaries, intertwine, and form a space that is constantly moving and changing. Here, nature becomes not a backdrop but the very source of sound—its vibrations, depth, and movement form the foundation of the sonic space.

Daylesford Naturalis: During Covid Lockdown #4

Daylesford Naturalis is a field recording project documenting the sounds of nature at different sites of the Wombat Forest around Daylesford, in Dja Dja Wurrung Country, Australia, during the 4th state-wide Covid-19 lockdown in 2021. The town of Daylesford is known for its mineral springs, the local lake and the forest that surrounds it. The sounds were recorded by Daylesford resident Dr Martin K. Koszolko - a music producer, sound artist and academic known for his creative work under the KOshowKO, Philosophy Of Sound and iubar project monikers. The recordings took place at 4 sites around Daylesford between May 30 and June 3, 2021 during a lockdown, where most people were restricted to only leaving their houses within a 5km radius. These recordings capture the sounds of many native birds, forests, creeks, and the Sailor’s Falls waterfall. Track titles reflect the locations and recording dates. Nature is presented mostly undisturbed, although sometimes there is no escaping from civilisation and occasionally you can also hear a distant rumble of vehicle engines. Among the tranquil settings, you can also hear some more dramatic sounds, such as loud Cockatoo voices and the rumbling sound of a large branch falling off from a very tall eucalyptus tree (as in track 3 at the 5.21 mark). I was directly under the tree when it happened, looking in a different direction and with my headphones on. While I could hear the rumbling sound of the falling branch, I couldn't immediately position where it was coming from and only when the branch was already on its way down, I noticed how large it was. Luckily it fell a couple of metres away from me... Bandcamp exclusive bonuses include a 22 photographs taken during the recording sessions. released January 17, 2022 Special thanks to M. De Murashkin for her help with this project! Recorded with Zoom H2n using a 2 channel surround mode. Cover art designed by M. De Murashkin and M. Koszolko. Las Maquinas 009

Nowy

Nowy’ means a ‘new one’ in Polish and this single is a celebration of kids’ voices and their approach to novelty. Those untrained voices are great at expressing the joy of discovering new things. Novelty is frequent in kids’ lives and kids are great at being fully absorbed in this newness. This release is a fruit of remote music collaboration between musicians who had no face-to-face contact and were located on 2 continents and in 4 countries. The collaborative process took place in ‘the cloud’ with the use of the Blend platform which facilitated the remixing and exchanges of musical ideas. Participants included Monochrome Echo from England, Brended James from Australia and Aammiioo from Croatia. Included is also a remix created by iubar’s Martin K under his KOshowKO moniker. While the original guitar, field recordings and synth driven piece has been re-imaged quite differently by each of the collaborators, the recordings of kids voices (captured by Martin K in Australia and New Zealand) and guitar drones (recorded by Jarek B in Poland) provide a common sonic denominator to all of the tracks on offer. The KOshowKO remix is a guitar riff driven and catchy affair with a strong electro element. Brenden James’ remix takes the listener on an evocative tropical electro-rock journey while Monochrome Echo explores the mesmerising jazzy-ambient and post-rock ground. Aammiioo closes the release with an expansive and groovy ambient remix.

There is wind sometimes // EP

This album was born from a single moment: a recording of the wind during a powerful weather event in Melbourne, captured by Dr. Duane Hamacher. That sound, raw and unpredictable, became the sole source material for the entire project. Using a granular synthesizer, I explored its textures and tones, uncovering layers of movement and resonance hidden within. The result is a single composition in the realm of ambient soundscapes and sound art. It reflects the interplay of chaos and calm, shaped by the energy of natural forces. By limiting myself to this single sound source, I aimed to explore the subtle and transformative qualities of the wind, translating its textures and movements into something both intimate and expansive. This piece is an invitation to listen more closely and find music within the unseen currents around us.
