Broken Mirror

The mirror broke and his shadow was cast into a thousand pieces. Pieces of light containing memories, every wavelength both a refracted sound and image. As the light swirled together, a new type of energy was born. He could see the patterns emerging from the distance - but as they grew closer the mirror would shatter once more. He could not see himself anymore, but only feel his memories everywhere at once … and just then the music played … Core to Sun Turret themes of returning home, BROKEN MIRROR is an album about resolute memories, an album about the samples that I have lost track of the origin over time, about the broken image that we see when we look back at technology imitating life, about the pieces of my personality that seem to unwind over time and come back together to form a full image of the soul. It’s an album about the space that creates feelings, the space we need to grow, and a nostalgia for things, and a longingness to return. BROKEN MIRROR was produced between over the course of a year starting around September 2025 in Pittsburgh, PA. Genres include vaporwave, hypnogogic pop, experimental, synthpop
