"This live session was supposed to be the result of my artist residency in Skopje, scheduled for April, 2020. Then the pandemic took over. Since physical travel was impossible, I used imaginary paths: Locked in my Wroclaw home studio with a laptop, a Roland synthesizer and a Yamaha 4-track cassette recorder, I performed reflecting on the memories and feelings from my previous visits to Skopje and from e-mails that I exchanged with Gjorgji Janevski over the years." (Marek Jeżyna) Originally broadcast on A Colder Consciousness radio show, hosted by Flora Pitrolo on 26.04.2020. Marek Jeżyna (aka Club Alpino) is a music producer based in Wroclaw, Poland. Passionate about ethnology, he is exploring the relationship between the organic world and life in the consumerist sphere, full of toys and entertainment. *Personas* is the second full-length studio album from Tunnel, a visceral exploration of the human experience told through the pulse of warehouse aesthetics. Blending jungle, techno, and bass music with seamless precision, the album defies genre boundaries—often within a single track—crafting a dynamic and immersive sonic narrative. At its core, *Personas* is both a technical and emotional deep dive into dance music as storytelling. The album charts a path from utopian yearning through dystopian realities and disillusionment; tracing themes of alienation, surveillance, and commodification of the self, and ending with a rediscovery of human empathy, connection, and hope amidst the ruins. credits released September 27, 2025 All tracks produced by Tunnel Vocals for Lost in Shadows by Lilith Burke Mastered by Gio at Artefacts - Berlin A very warm and special shout out to Kelsey for letting me 'do my thing' for countless days and weeks and months, Nate for the studio time and Grove Music crew for the feedback and support throughout production, Jesse and WWW for the input and feedback as this project evolved, Simon (Swarm Intelligence) for the notes, technical support, and thoughts on flow, and everyone who shared an encouraging word and checked in on the project. THANK YOU!
“Enter New Spheres” is the message! The garbage is later cleared up by the AI, which hallucinatingly produces “Distorted Perceptions” on an assembly line, while I hang on to old dreams of “What We Loved So Much”. Again and again I dream myself aboard the “Mothership” (see the back cover of Parliament's Motor Booty Affair record), where forbidden fruits (“Dreams of Forbidden Fruits”) refresh me, expand my perception without bringing the loose ends (“Loose Ends”) together. I am left confused, but hopeful, because what I love so much continues to exist. If only God were a DJ.
