- Personal story -
When I saw the announcement at the end of last year that there was a new Partholón album incoming, I got incredibly excited and impatient to hear it. When I messaged just a few moments later if they would like to release it also on Owlripper - and it was an unhesitant 'yes' - I actually jumped up and got immensely giddy!
I shared the stage with Partholón 5 times whilst in one of my past bands (Hundred Year Old Man; a weekender tour in England in 2018, then Siege Of Limerick 2018 and Dublin 2019), so I can vouch for their all round awesomeness as human beings and talented musicians.

----- The Origin Of The Name -----
"Partholón murdered his father and mother and for his depravities a curse was put upon him. Partholón fled to Ireland and is said to have spearheaded the second settlement of Ireland (Muintir Partholóin). The settlement was eventually decimated by plague inside a single week. No King. No God, just life, and then, Death."
