The Afflictions — dance punk and punk rock ’n’ roll for a world coming apart at the seams. A cultural mirror held up to the bullshit, contradictions, absurdity, anger, decay, conformity, and dark humor of modern Western life. Nothing is sacred, nobody gets a pass, and some of it is going to piss you off. Trigger warning: this record was not made to make you comfortable 9/8/2026 - Reddit wins the predictability award by being the first to wipe it from its platform. Reddit shows it's true colors - If it was a book of poetry it would be burning!

Eyemasters arrive to Owlripper from Barcelona, Spain. They bring something for the fans of old school death thrashing metal and high energy Scandinavian punk rock and roll; inspired by the likes of Entombed, Dismember, Master, Birdflesh, Motorhead, early Sepultura (and a recommendation of Spanish sludge band Moho). 𓂀 As the post-Obscene Extreme Festival crash and reality return become all-consuming (and having enjoyed many HM2-led metallic treats, including Dismember and Rotten Sound), the timing of releasing and relistening to this Eyemasters recording couldn't be more perfect. Whichever metal festivals you go to during the rest of this year or next, remember Eyemasters as a soundtrack for recovery! Eyemasters are two long-term friends (also in Dos Brujos, Boogied, Hoz Seca) who get together occasionally to enjoy jamming in their rehearsal room and self-producing their ideas. DIY CDs available from the band: [email protected] IG @ eyemasters666 https://eyemasters.bandcamp.com Owlripper catalogue number: ON117 released July 7, 2026 𓂀 Thank you to Bonded By Thrash (Latin & Iberian Metal) channel on YouTube for adding this release unprompted. The support is hugely appreciated.
'Pont del blanqueig' is the second single from our new fourth album 'Amb a fi al davant'. Little Fyodor (pronounced "fee-ah-dor", a tribute to Dostoevsky!) first hatched into existence in 1981 when college friend Evan Cantor (whom LF had turned onto this Dostoevsky) called him that after the former showed the latter the former's song lyrics which reminded the latter of Dostoevskian characters who "couldn't even get any joy out of their own evil"!! LF solo work was back burnered as the two forged ahead with experimental DIY cassette networking project Walls Of Genius, releasing 30 cassette tapes in three years (1983 to 1986) and becoming prominent enough in this Underground to warrant mentions in books like "Unknown Legends of Rock 'n' Roll" and "Cassette Culture: Homemade Music and the Creative Spirit in the Pre-Internet Age" before the usual band broo-ha-ha led to a breakup and LF going solo.... LF soon met Babushka who took pity on him and formed with him a weirdo rock 'n' roll duo that toured the world and was later joined by the powerhouse rhythm section of Dave Cee and Tricky Dick Wikkit. Several EP through full length studio albums have been released either by Little Fyodor or Little Fyodor & Babushka on various formats and labels plus a live album recorded at a Church Of the Subgenius's X-Day gathering. Little Fyodor writes songs that reflect the alienated under-belly of modern life, wed to music that may alternate or tread the line between experimental and classic punk. Little Fyodor also spent 30 years as a radio deejay on KGNU, Boulder, presenting a show called "Under the Floorboards" featuring music for and by the Insects of Society....
Toledo, Ohio is a city with rich punk rock history that is underappreciated and often neglected. In an attempt to fix this, Morbid And Miserable Records are bringing a forgotten Toledo classic back to the forefront -- CL1. Between 2003 and 2011, CL1 drove listeners into an earnest frenzy with their fist-pumping anthems and overcharged Oi! / street punk rock 'n' roll style. Twenty years later, their tracks haven't lost their potency, so it's time to get fired up again with BASED ON A TRUE STORY. Not only does this album include every song the band ever recorded, but also features four brand new tracks to celebrate the occasion! The full album is now available both digitally and on CD (with a booklet covering the band's history)! Here come the boots! CL1 is back!
Three singles off of Kilter, the upcoming second LP by Sheffield's Tinned Meats! At some places it sounds like Stump (London) & the Fall (Madchester) Indeed did have a great meeting. - John Peel's Ghost
Kansas City's Chosen Band. Hardcore punk rock music. Delayed Gratification Records. 2023-2025. "The sober sincerity punctuating all the fervor of the instrumentation reminds me of every heartbreaking moment to be found in a Philip Roth novel." -JP Hurley, DIFY Zine "While hardcore continues to grow in all sprawling directions, it’s refreshing to hear someone doing it as concisely and ’80s-indebted as this. Think more NEGATIVE APPROACH and MINOR THREAT than some of the more metal-leaning HC swinging hard today. It’s funny to think that resembling anything like those two giants of the genre would feel novel in 2024, but here we are." -Luke Henley, Maximumrocknroll "Six tracks of noisy, knuckle-dragging hardcore..." -Chris DeVille, Stereogum
