A sequel to his 2018 album 'WE BELONG UNDERGROUND', the work speaks like a collection of dusty, played-out house, jungle, and club twelve inches resurfaced in a warehouse that were never-before-released digitally. Some songs might sound recognizable, some not, but all have been altered and composed with what has become his detached sound. Broken Casio keyboards, a veneer of nostalgia, and tongue-in-cheek samples litter the vignettes in a way that can be interpreted as both a celebration and a critique of rave culture past and present.

Technomancy

Somewhere between silicon and sorcery, a forbidden ritual has begun. Synthetic synesthesia is summoned through signals and code. Hypnotic enchantments tunnel through the mind's eye. Those capable of conjuring this arcane mechanism are believed to carry spell books made up of 1s and 0s. This may seem as farfetched as a cloth made of metal, but the phenomenon is all too real: Technomancy. DJ DanceAlone has crafted "Technomancy," a club-ready techno 2-tracker that defies convention. These tracks twist classic techno ideas into something looser, stranger, and slightly mutated. On “Conjure,” pounding 4x4 drums and a rubbery, revelatory bassline drive the ritual forward while cryptic and frantic vocal fragments are layered expertly through the mix, evoking frenzied hysteria. Equal parts intensity and irreverence, it’s a track that demonstrates that techno need not always keep a straight face. “Metal Cloth” pushes deeper into the smoke by layering angular metallic percussion, warped textures, and effects with mutant organ-like tones that evoke a physical auditory experience, similar to music that artists like JLIN and SOPHIE have created. The portal opened by this silicon summoning closes in 6 days and then the price ascends to another dimension. Fresh off his inclusion on Haus Of Altr's massive mission statement HOA010 compilation, Escaflowne makes a proper introduction with The Stimulus Pack EP - five tracks of souped-up house music filled with addictive grooves, gritty acid, soaring diva vocals, and divine rave stabs. Detroit mastermind Huey Mnemonic provides the cherry on top of the whole thing with his full-tilt breakbeat driven "Midnight Maurader Mix" of the Let No Man Put Asunder sampling "Beybah." Originally hailing from Flint, Michigan, Huey Mnemonic a.k.a. PJ Swerve has made his greatness known through his 2019 Vanity Press 12", a bootlegs split with DJ Swisha for Vanity Press imprint Hot 'N' Ready, and the launch of his new Subsonic Ebonics label this month with his Virtuosity EP featuring MoMa Ready. Tokyo Funky Breaks w/ JIALING + Carpainter remixes [SR58]

Tokyo-based producer/dj SEIMEI makes his Sorry Records debut with four slamming tracks touching on techno, breaks, robot vocal electro, and party rocking house. Only the second Sorry Records release from a non-US based artist in our nearly ten years of existence, Seimei's Tokyo Funky Breaks EP features a slammin remix from Seimei's brother and fellow young Japanese legend Carpainter in addition to a bonkers Florida Breaks remix from our friend and Baltimore-born, Brooklyn-based club music star JIALING (a.k.a. BIG J). Co-founder of seminal Japanese dance music collective/label TREKKIE TRAX, Seimei has been a tireless force in the Japanese dance underground for over a decade now. TREKKIE TRAX's catalog is absolutely massive -- 190 releases and counting, over 800 tracks of all shapes and sizes released with DIY care and love over the last 10 years. Seimei's productions have been released on superb labels like Moveltraxx, WET TRAX, Midnight Cult, Top Billin Music, Akihabara Heavy Industry Inc. He's remixed Japanese techno legend Ken Ishii, done guest mixes for both Hessle Audio, LUCKYME® on Rinse FM, and Mix Up Exclusives on triple J presented by Nina Las Vegas. Seimei also runs a monthly radio program ‘TREKKIE TRAX RADIO’ on the Japanese biggest dance music radio station ‘Block.fm’ and has a residency on Gilles Peterson’s Worldwide FM.
