Dark wood, backlit sake bottles, paper lanterns, and a stage that has seen things. The no-destruction policy is posted by the door. Whatever you are outside, inside you are a patron. Dino Martini hosts. The King Trio Band plays. Thirteen guest singers take the stage in turn, one for each monster, with voices that can calm the savage beast or whip it into a frenzy.
Inspired by the dystopian atmosphere of Aldous Huxley's Brave New World, this album is an imaginary original soundtrack designed for an unmade film adaptation of the classic novel. Musically, the LP moves between cold ambient textures, evolving synth pads, and structured rhythmic tension. Approached with the rigor of a cinematic film score, every track explores the balance between mechanical perfection and underlying human anxiety, creating a cohesive and immersive sonic palette. We are super excited to welcome the awesome Fingerwolf to the DF family with his excellent new album At The Mountains Of Madness - a soundtrack to the H.P. Lovecraft novella of the same name. Visionary Lines Presents - The House Tapes Volume 1 - The Soundtrack to a Lost Horror Film In the mid to late 1970s, work was nearing completion on a low budget horror film titled The House. Due to financial problems, the film was never completed and thus, fell into obscurity. The soundtrack written to accompany it was also almost finished, but this too disappeared when the film was shelved. Visionary Lines has recently come into possession of the original master tapes for the soundtrack. Alas they are in poor condition, work is taking place to restore as much as possible, so that this work may be heard for the first time, 50 years after its creation. The House Tapes Volume 1 contains the first set of tracks which have been retrieved and restored.
