Celeste Noxx is a South African sound artist who has been studying piano since the age of 11, and actively recording since the age of 18. She self-released her early material in 2023. "Only God knows is a deeply personal project to me because I made it while going through awful substance withdrawal. The reason I went with the dark drone sound was to mirror the isolation and pain I was feeling at the time. I almost didn’t release it because I was so exhausted physically and mentally." "I honestly felt like it was going to be the final thing I’d ever release. I think the final project mirrors the loss of faith I had in my recovery, the only thing I could do was to hold onto God."
