"Vol. 22: Eubiotranslucence" mangles, contorts and reproduces these sounds into something beautiful at one moment, and something deeply unsettling the next. The machines made capable and intelligent by man, only to bite the hand that fed them by destroying the one who made them. Created and manufactured, learning the ways of the human world - in an attempt to make modern day living easier - and then taking a devastating turn to dominate that very world. The calm before the storm becomes the chaos that is disaster. While I typically make every attempt to incorporate only acoustically generated elements and field recordings into each release for this particular project, I found myself reaching for inspiration by exploring some unusual avenues (although I am quite sure it has been done before) using simple, household electronic sounds (cell phone, PC, appliances, etc) - and then running these through my Vox ToneLab ST pedal to give the audio more of a "warm/tube-like" feel. Following this, a second round of post-production effects were added (primarily time-stretching, which may or may not have enhanced the overall result) - but in my opinion, turned out even better than anticipated.
