herbal tea is the project of UK songwriter/producer Helena Walker. Starting out with home recordings on Bandcamp in 2018, she released her debut EP 'unwrap' on cassette in 2021 before signing to Orindal Records (US) for her debut album 'Hear as the Mirror Echoes', out August 2025. Recorded DIY in bedrooms and living rooms, the album draws on dream pop, ambient folk and slowcore; ethereal vocals submerged in layers of harmony, lo-fi guitar, and bursts of distortion. She has toured with artists including Gia Margaret, and her music has been covered by Stereogum, Clash, BBC Radio 6 and KEXP. Comparisons have landed on Grouper, Mazzy Star, Cocteau Twins and Sparklehorse.
