First installment in the vinyl split series! This one pairs up Skyjelly from Boston and Solilians from NY/MD. Skyjelly do that rare thing of hitting a compelling groove that you never know what's going to happen next in the track. it's kind of like if Lee Scratch Perry had produced 'No New York'. Solilians have their own distinct groove. Their music has space and an elegiac nature to the melodies. Chord sequences and song structures take unexpected turns and the arrangements are very well thought out. Tight rhythm section too. - Eyes Everywhere
