Sunday@12

Like every Sunday noon, you're in your living room in front of the TV, eagerly awaiting your favorite cartoon to start. But this Sunday is different. There's uncertainty and anxiety in the air. Was last week's episode really the final? Did the princess really sacrifice herself? Can that truly be how it all ends? No cartoon has ever ended like that before... so you wait. But then, as some new and unfamiliar theme song plays on your TV, a song entirely too cheerful for how you feel, you find yourself digging through a drawer for an unlabeled VHS where you could swear you'd taped an episode some months before. All your friends are doing the same. On Monday you're trading stories, and by Tuesday you're already trading cassettes. But as time passes, some episodes get half taped over, leaving plots unresolved; some cassettes get damaged and distorted, and with them, so do your collective memories. Then, some 30+ years down the line, like every Sunday noon, you're in your living room in front of the TV, this time awaiting nothing in particular. Something makes you remember a cartoon you used to like, the plot and characters now long lost to time, but the bittersweet feeling still lingers. You can't put it into words, but you can, in fact, put it into sound...
