Liminal Protocol is a series of environmental studies designed to inhabit the "non-places" of the modern world. Where traditional composition seeks to lead the listener through a narrative arc, these pieces are intended to exist as static features of the room—much like a window, a shadow, or a particular quality of light. The "Liminal" state is defined by the transition. It is the hum of a server room at 3:00 AM; the peculiar silence of a terminal after the last flight has departed; the vibration of a city felt through a concrete floor. This music does not ask for your arrival; it simply marks your presence in the "in-between."
