Earth Speaks is an eco-acoustic field recording project by Minneapolis-based artist and composer Matthew Hiram. Rooted in the philosophy of "sonic conservation," the project uses deep-listening practices and environmental audio to cultivate mindfulness, and to bridge the gap between humanity and nature, preserving the acoustic identity of threatened ecosystems. 'At Gold Beach' is an immersive 42-minute unedited field recording captured along the Pacific shoreline of Gold Beach, Oregon. The album presents the raw, therapeutic power of coastal weather and ocean waves, designed as a meditative tool to reduce stress and reconnect listeners with the grounding rhythms of the natural world.
