Lost Colossus
A storm rages outside, its winds howling through empty streets. The air is thick with an eerie stillness, broken only by the distant rumble of thunder. As I lie on the tattered sofa, the flickering light of the TV dances across the room, casting shadows on the walls. I feel myself slipping into sleep, the warmth of the screen a fragile comfort in the silence, like a fading whisper.

Pale Figure is a love letter to Shūji Terayama and the spirit of Japanese New Wave. A collage of cinematic fragments and samples from Terayama’s movies with experimental soundscapes. Terayama is a figure who has greatly influenced my artistic work, with his surreal and raw movies, a very intimate and experimental cinema wich I love more than anything. My first introduction to his work was The Labyrinth Tale, recommended by one of my professors. I then spent many hours watching and studying his work. Just like my previous work on the film La Jetée (1962) by Chris Marker, I strongly encourage you to discover Terayama’s body of work.
In the hush of the night, amidst the cold and empty city, solitude envelops me. Memories of bygone days whisper in the silence. Insomnia lends introspection. The city lights stand as beacons, offering a solitary yet comforting glow in the quiet darkness.

Inspired by the beauty of the sea. 海岸 is a noisy album that dances between contemplation and the wild, agitated energy of the waves.
In the realm of the unmoving, where silence finds its voice, A symphony of stillness, where stillness is the choice. The benches in the park, where laughter once resided, Now rest in solitude, memories subsided.
