The robot's story recounted in "An Artificial Existence" was tragic enough on its own. However, to learn more about this curious "existence"—before sending the robot to the scrapyard—we extracted its black box (similar to an airplane's flight recorder). Here is what we found in its digital storage and the little we were able to recover, as some files consisted merely of noise and could not be interpreted or played back. In fact, these songs are somewhat battered.
