Dagon

"I am writing this under an appreciable mental strain, since by tonight I shall be no more." 'Dagon' is a 51 minute sojourn through dungeon synth (of a few styles), black metal, dark ambient and drone, encased in evocative titles, striking artwork and a very fitting mood to accompany the 'Dagon' short story, written by Lovecraft in July 1917. "I am fascinated by the ocean. I get calm when I hear the sound of waves, seagulls and all the other noises. I don't remember when this started, but this led me to stumble over Lovecraft and I fell in love." (Words from Yhorm talking about the album and why this theme). After hearing Yhorm's track on A Compilation Against Fascism, a few other parts of releases from his various projects, and then seeing the cover for this posted on Yhorm's Instagram, hinting at 'Lovecraft', I had to enquire what this work in progress album was going to bring along. The release eventually morphed into something a little different than Yhorm's initial intention, and his spoken word version will be released at the end of December.
