Growing up in a late 70s, early 80s Leeds town, in a small brutalism-inspired concrete maisonette, the style was bound to have an influence on my life, my thoughts, my understanding of society and perception of myself within the larger whole. This was an incredibly interesting concept for me to focus close to, and helped vastly expand my intrigue and enjoyment of brutalism. Casa Sperimentale The term "brutalism" comes from the French phrase "béton brut" meaning "raw concrete". I hope that the sounds reflect well and do the subject matter justice.
