My intent was to use patterned, looping sound and granular synthesis in order to establish a repetitious yet improvisational, machinelike experience throughout. An assembly of abstract imperfections. Glitched industrial noises and factory pulses, sounds of daily monotonous tasks and alarms, distorted voices, mutated animal calls—all trapped in static, steam, and automation. Polluted. Disoriented.
