MARK

MARK

Describing the rise and fall of manufacturing with sound seemed possible. And potentially worthwhile, given that printed opinion on the matter gets largely ignored by busy online networkers. But musicians have often resorted to the textures and rhythms of industry. So perhaps it was now our job to pay back a little, and in the process help remind folk of how we once joined in our many thousands to craft and define our existence. MARK was conceived and recorded chronologically, starting with the Neolithic and ending with the present. So it could justifiably be called a concept album. Luckily it's OK again to use that term after its few decades of implied stinkeye-ism. The download pack includes a handy timescale graphic (used for the CD tray cover) in case the song titles themselves seem a little too cryptic to give it all away. As of course they should be.
