Variations

In 2020, shortly before the world was shut down, Remora was on a new trajectory. Seldom appearing live as a solo project nor having rehearsals in a meaningful way, the project was improvisational with simple concepts shaped by the evening's performers. This piece is built around a music box plinking out an A in a simple rhythm to keep timing & key while the players improvise. I believe this was the last Remora show & at this point it is unclear if there will ever be a resurrection.
