"the distant buildings looked like they were humming, almost like a hive, and they stood there as patient teeth, hostile columns of smoke and glass. the air smelled of wet earth and static. it felt full of intent from something unseen and meticulous. the sun was nothing more than a decoy, misleadingly rimmed everything in stained gold. the light that promised rescue but tasted of rust. nailed to a place it did not belong. it felt as though it had always been there, just beckoning me over the edge. and i fell for it, pulling into a bright, frightening nowhere." __________________________________________________ All music and cover art by Constantine Horizon Written October 24-31, 2025 Cover art created in Blender __________________________________________________ in addition, please note that wading through decay now has a dedicated page on bandcamp. this and all following releases will also be available there, and it will be possible to purchase the project's entire discography in the future. https://wadingthroughdecay.bandcamp.com

Ahead of the release of my new album, I wanted to immerse myself once again in the atmosphere and aesthetics of my early work. I really adore this sound; it reminds me of the old days when I would lose myself in it, feeling totally unsure and lost, yet still dream of something better. Well, history does repeat itself, but in a more disgusting way this time. Through this release, I am trying to make sense of life again, and to come to terms with the grief and horror that reality has brought in recent years. Still, there is always something beautiful, fragile and elusive behind all this. It's something that makes life worth living and love is definitely worth holding on to. Thank you for listening. ____________________________________________________ Music and cover art by Constantine Horizon Recorded October 14-17, 2025

the cover photo was taken during my winter trip to vladimir and suzdal. one day, we went to see the church on the nerl river. it was frosty and sunny, and not cold at all, despite the temperature being around -18 degrees celsius. to get to the church, we had to walk about 2 km across a field and partly along a frozen old riverbed. on the way, we saw sellers selling scarves, dolls and other traditional russian souvenirs, which were much cheaper here than in the city. i bought myself and my mother some fridge magnets with a picture of the church on them. there was also this lone horse that could take you for a carriage ride across the vast field in front of the church. it looked a bit lonely and depressed, and people just came up to pet it and take pictures. i guess that day and its ambiance somehow stuck in my head, and i feel like this music perfectly captures that memory.
