Verkfærakistan (Self-developed VST plugins)

This album was created entirely using my own self-developed VST plugins. Over the past two days, I've been teaching myself how to make VST plugins, using C++. I’ve been building, testing, and refining a small ecosystem of tools designed for slow movement, instability, randomness, texture, and long-form sound design. I committed to using only my own instruments and effects—embracing their quirks, limitations, and unfinished edges as part of the process. The result is an album that’s deeply intertwined with these tools. Many of the sounds are not “played” in the traditional sense, but evolved, drifted, or nudged into place over time by weird effects. When you buy the album, you also get all of the self-developed plugins used to make it, free of charge. Some of these plugins are still in beta, others are close to release, but all of them are actively developed. Buying the album means you’ll receive future updates and improvements as the plugins evolve—just like the music did during its creation. I will simply upload them to a Google Drive folder where I will keep the most recent versions.
