Young Muscle has been a friend of ours for a bit now. He's a terminal sweetheart and wicked producer with previous releases via Scuffed Recordings, Juke Bounce Werk, 3024, Out Of Sorts, N-Face, and Vief. Detroit's resident UK Bass champion, Ben brings unpretentious joy to everything he's involved in from his productions to his DJ work (most notably as a resident of like minded bass party Interference Detroit). We previously hosted him at a Good Room party we did back in 2023 and we also put out a mix of music Ben loved when he was 16 via our SORRYMIX series in 2022. The first collaborative release from Brooklyn-based DIY outfit Sorry Records and Chicago-via-Detroit co-operative label EAT DIS, Tony G presents One More Time — four powerhouse techno tracks full of hypnotizing gnarly wormhole techno spiral that comes complete with a nearly 170bpm Miami Bass fever dream electro remix from DJ Girl (Planet Euphorique, EAT DIS) and an arresting hard drum take from Taipei experimental club luminary Sonia Calico. The third release of the year from Rochester-born/NYC-based producer/dj Tony G, One More Time is Tony’s evil hangover post last March’s gospel house piano explosion Pianoman EP with Philly ballroom genius DJ Delish and west coast rave queen Bored Lord. Drawing inspiration from bleary NYC raves of a pre-COVID past as well as a particularly transcendent Wata Igarashi live set at Sustain-Release Year Six, One More Time is a testament to Tony’s craft-filled, genre-hopping talent. zorenLo

Hiking alone off-trail through the mountainous wilderness of the Brenta Dolomites in Northern Italy back in 2017, Colombian American producer/dj and Bossa Nova Civic Club resident zorenLo found himself up the wrong side of the mountain and with one wrong move off the edge of a cliff. “I thought I was gonna die for sure,” he says recalling “a kind of life-flashing-before-my-eyes moment as I rolled seemingly endlessly down the mountain.” zorenLo landed with a broken elbow, busted phone, various unknown head wounds, and a surge of adrenaline in the face of survival that would carry him limping and delirious through the forty five minute long journey to the nearest stranger who called the medical helicopter that saved his life. “As I limped down the trail I felt a lot of blood coming from my head so I wanted to take a picture to see what the damage was.” Having broken his phone in the fall, he used a GoPro to take the photo that now comprises the artwork for his new single Brenta — zorenLo’s chaotic yet cathartic meditation on the accident that nearly ended his life. Initially recorded during a ten-day stint in an Italian hospital immediately post his accident, Brenta is the culmination of a trilogy of releases zorenLo wrote inspired by that day and released via Circular Jaw and Loveless Records. Balancing experimental sensibilities with a clear narrative structure that literally tells the story of that day, Brenta is a peak for the young producer’s already fruitful output.

Sorry Records is proud to present the new single from Xiorro titled Perreo En Los Raves -- a late summer Reggaeton rave floor filler from one of the best hard techno producers in America, accompanied by a blown to bits Highway 909 Midwest techno workout courtesy of Max Watts. Currently based in Atlanta, Xiorro has spent the last decade as a fixture in the NYC rave underground through his cofounding of the ALKHEMY collective and Whirlwind Trax label as well as his long running residency at beloved and uncompromising New York rave The Black Hole. Tennessee techno prodigy Max Watts returns for his third remix on Sorry since February of this year as well. Clearly one of our favorites producers in the world right now, Max is a bit of a uniquely peerless American techno machine with an output that is constantly in flux ranging from tribal techno explorations for BANK to disco filter house tools for Haus of Altr and countless brilliant releases released in quick succession on his Bandcamp, outstanding vinyl imprint Limited Network, and through the great ESP Collective he co-founded with Dallas, TX's Decoder. A note from Xiorro... Perreo Hasta Los Raves is a sample-heavy broken beat techno track fused with Reggaeton’s iconic Dembow. Puerto Rico was rocked by Reggaeton’s underground in the 90s with producers like DJ Playero paving the way for a genre that no one ever imagined would be heard worldwide the way it is. With its gritty beats and raunchy lyrics, the genre was once illegal on the island, which helped push it further underground due to it being painted for “the streets." The track and artwork are not only meant to pay homage to those that once sonically moved our asses at our friend’s basement parties, but also meant to help introduce it to a new audience, so that they can also experience the Latin sensation. Simply put, this is a track meant to turn out all Reggaeton lovers at the rave and to convert those who were not aware of its banging drums.
