"A brutal hymn to suffering, where pain becomes the only proof of life." “Extreme Masochist” is a stark, confrontational sermon dressed as a punk/alt-metal anthem: short, repetitive, and brutal by design. The song strips away euphemism and sentiment to present suffering as both demand and desperate plea — not as punishment to avoid, but as an authenticating experience the speaker craves. Musically and lyrically, it trades subtlety for shock: jagged imperatives and violent imagery force the listener to face the idea that pain can function as truth, purification, or escape from meaninglessness. The repetition of the refrain — “Give me real torture / Torture is pain / Give me a real life / Life is pain” — turns the chorus into a ritualistic litany, converting the track into an incantation that blurs voluntary masochism, spiritual martyrdom, and cultural nihilism. "Extreme Masochist" is track #9 and the fourth single from our album "The Scapegoat's Agony" (1995) as well as track #9 from our compilation "The Scapegoat's Agony (Edits, Odds & Ends) (2026). The single/compilation version is slightly shorter than the album version. The album title is an allusion to the play "Waiting for Godot" by Irish playwright and novelist Samuel Beckett and points towards the – for the most part – painful and excruciating emotional odyssey of the unnamed antihero.
