A collection of tracks full of chunky drums, squelchy acid lines, big old basslines and various other bits and bobs. Going from full-pelt old school rave numbers to dark and eerie ambience with rattly breaks. I’d originally put down the music production tools in early 2005 after the release of Wake Up on Breaks4Ever after deciding to take a break. I thought that was it for me production wise but in 2020, like the rest of the world, I had some extra time on my hands. I had some ideas for new music and with some nudging, inspiration and technical assistance from the always brilliant Everyday Dust I decided to finally learn Ableton (unfortunately I had to move on from my beloved Modplug Tracker due to not having a Windows machine). Huge thanks to him for the constant support, positivity and advice as I worked through all these tracks. This album is a collection of all the music I’ve put out since 2020 and every track has been lovingly mastered by the brilliant Shell Yeah Audio. Thanks as always for adding that extra sparkle and bringing out parts of the tracks that I hadn’t even really noticed myself. Thanks to my E for the brilliant photograph that forms the artwork. "Ngoc Ha Noises" is a four track EP that bases musical composition on field recordings captured within Hanoi's ancient village of Ngoc Ha. Recorded in a round robin fashion, these pieces have been put together throughout the course of 2020. It is best enjoyed with headphones.
