Fluctuating ambient noise wall with hallucinatory vibe. Mind-bending and haunted.
Another moon, another haunting... Our beloved architect of forsaken sonic mists returns once more, for our infinite and slightly unholy listening pleasure. More Veils... falling yet again... Fragments of our collective past, unearthed from places where memory itself has long since ceased to breathe. Half-buried melodies, orphaned voices, spectral remnants of forgotten things — gathered by the supreme custodian of shadows and woven, unwoven, then woven again into these slow veils of ebony and unreason. A gentle funeral procession through corridors that perhaps never existed. Pleasant, almost tender... yet quietly wrong. Familiar shapes drift behind the fabric. Something remembers us from the other side. A slow descent through the ancient sap of ECHØVEIL RECORDS — where dead sounds dream, old ghosts hum beneath the floorboards, and every veil eventually falls into another. -Sir Kuliktavikt
The bolts are humming. There is a multicoLoreD metaphysical fire poker lodged somewhere inside my ribcage, and from the wound come schizophrenic butterflies, rabid phosphorescent cockroaches, soft winged screwdrivers (square-headed), blood-soaked Froot Loops, lunatic seashells, star-snow, dancing celery dipped in pink vinegar, chocolate praying mantises and enormous quantities of confetti in every possible—and several impossible—color. This is Aubade. One of the many unstable identities of experimental artist Angel B.—also responsible for Narehate, Beholden, Kept Woman, Muybridge and other mutations still crawling between names. Life After 2: six delightful transmissions, six to eighteen minutes each. Modular noise-muzik. Petrochemical psychosis. Burroughs cut-ups translated into sound and left fermenting beneath an explosive sky that shines-shines-SHINES over the night of asphyxiated days. Sometimes liquid: molten metal screaming. Sometimes gaseous: curare clouds giggling like tiny anthropomorphic cartoon mounds of cotton candy. Sometimes solid: asphalt to snort. I vomit manga pages while my spleen implodes. Katana-JAZZ?! A string quartet eating magic mushrooms—slightly sour, slightly sweet. Vapor-Noise-Emblematic-of-the-Flaccid-Suzerains? Yes. It is beautiful. I want to gouge out my eyes and stuff this sound-matter into the empty sockets instead. And finally see. In four dimensions. -Sir Kuliktavikt
A noise, ambient and drone compilation dedicated to the works of the best horror writer ever.
This is a very personal effort for me. “Turin” is an ambient, dreamy, lo-fi, reverent meditation on the Shroud of Turin. Believed by some to be a miraculous image of Christ, it is not officially recognized by the Catholic Church, although Pope Saint John Paul II considered the Shroud the be a “mirror of the Gospel.” On this album, I use the Shroud as a deep source of reflection. By combining sound samples, pop songs, chants, static, filters and distortion, these tracks become hymns to Christ. -Saint Elisabeth
I often drift past your ruins, A corpse of stone, blackened tin, and spoiled timber, Your bloodless body still lingers over the neighborhood, Not as memory, But as a weather that refuses to leave. Most walk past you Without ever looking up. I never do. I remain, Tracing the outline of the fire that once dreamed itself into matter. Accept this small nocturnal offering— Gentle, Almost peaceful— For you have become The quiet grammar of all things that crumble, Even those that once believed themselves celestial.
A HNW/ANW/DNW compilation.
A monumental work where a variety of styles got tied to a singular Biblical concept of becoming a slave to righteousness (see Romans chapter 6). Neo-folk, industrial, noise, neoclassical ambient, spoken word and field recordings circulating through four hours and forty minutes of deeply personal dissection. Surely the most epic work ever released on GoH. An absolute recommendation!
A huge, three hours long work about falling into depression, helplessness and desperate efforts to dig out of this black hole. Slowly developing, layer-shifting ambient and harsh noise walling with a collaborative, static part in the middle. A thing to sink within and battle your inner demons, but the result remains up to you.
Two warm, crunchy ambient noise walls with field recorded militant drums from a flagellant procession in Spain. Inspired by Goya's painting and Roman-Catholic traditions of public repentance.
Monumental noise walls from the masters of the genre.
Two long ambient/doom noise walls focused on themes like transfigurations of the self and mental illnesses.
