This album was made as part of the October 2026 r/dungeonsynth Dungeon Shamble. Info about the shamble here www.reddit.com/r/DungeonSynth/comments/1wuwwm0/october_dungeon_shamble_now_open/ This album is about a party of ghosts going to a rave. Each song of the album represents one of the different ghost. Following the Dungeon Dance Music theme of the shamble each song is a different style of dance music such as Hip Hop, Trip Hop, Gabber, Jungle, UK Garage, and House. All songs on the album were created with 6 different stock Logic instruments. Mellotron, Dark Lo-fi Piano, Oboe, Dark Soul Bass, Overstuffed 808, and King's Cross Strings. The drums for this album all come from the Amen Break. The Amen Break has been chopped, flipped and segmented on each song. Claps and Sub Kick added on select tracks.
With his third synth baroque album, Frédéric Scarfone, the producer behind Copenhagen synth pop trio Neonsol, reveals his electro-industrial roots by incorporating heavier beats and darker sounds into the classic "Clockwork Orange" sound pioneerd by Wendy Carlos in the 1970s. A remarkably eclectic album, "Der Krawallmeister" (a pun on Bach's job title as Kapellmeister) takes the listener from a harpsichord-driven dubstep version of Robert de Visée to a mischievous, stomping, hard electro take on a Bach prelude and from solo classical guitar to foreboding crypt hop. There is also a hard-hitting remix by electro-industrial veterans Grendel, as well as Frédéric's own (more gentle) remix of a wonderful lute performance by the Polish virtuoso Klaudyna Żołnierek.
This is a Crypt Hop album. Crypt Hop is a mixture of Dungeon Synth and various styles of Hip Hop. This album takes influence from DungeonSynth, Comfy Synth, Trap, Trip Hop, Boom Bap, Black Metal, and K-pop. The End of Acardi the Ivy King follows the journey of a powerful yet reluctant wizard as he battles a dragon, dies, and wakes up in another plane of existence.
The Vecna this album refers to is The Whispered One. The true Vecna of D&D Lore, not the Stranger Things Vecna. This is a Crypt Hop album. Crypt Hop is a an amalgam of DungeonSynth and Hip Hop. I tend to use more Trip Hop and Fantasy Synth influence in my music. This album was written, recorded, and programmed one handed while recovering from shoulder surgery. The album is loosey themed around the character Vecna from the Greyhawk, Ravenloft, and Planescape Dungeons and Dragons Campaign Settings. Without the usage of my arm and hand I related to Vecna and did a deep dive into his lore.
Welcome, Primer. Here's the dark of it. This is a Crypt Hop record. What is Crypt Hop? It is a mixture of DungeonSynth and Hip Hop. Getting more specific, Amser Segur combines DungeonSynth, FantasySynth, Trip Hop, Boom Bap, Bmore Club, and Trap to brew a unique a sonic potion. This album is my musical interpretation of Sigil, The City of Door. Sigil is the city at the center of the Multiverse in the D&D Great Wheel Cosmology and home base for the Planescape Campaign Setting. Each track represents a different ward within the city, the city itself, and the area below.
