For the anniversary of the release of The Third Broadcast, I asked a handful of excellent artists if they’d be open to rework it; to create a series of new broadcasts that take us even further from the source. Foolishly, they all agreed. So I bring you ////// Six Broadcasts /////// The original piece underlying this collection was the result of a butterfly effect from Eric Satie sitting at his piano in the 1880s, writing the Gymnopédies, to a single interval being turned into this granular ambient journey 140 years later. Satie's pieces were a precursor to his ideas for furniture music - widely attributed as the OG ambient music - so really, if you think about it, I'm sure it's what he would’ve wanted. Thank you to the contributors, it's amazing to hear your favourite piece reworked in such unique ways. More details on each piece, plus comments from each artist follow under each track. After this third chapter of the journey of Cloud Process was finished it felt most completed work to date. It had had many small changes since then and putting all the pieces into the right places took a long time. Au loin rushes to the listener with distorted ambience and that’s only where the journey begin. Let it just pour into you. Go for a walk. Or dance. Blast it from the speakers. Put the headphones on and close your eyes. Everyone has it’s own journey though the music. No matter where you are, we are all connected through it. Enjoy. The second collaborative effort from Kh3rtis and Cpektir sees the next instalment of Psychonautic. For this collection, the two artists have come together in their mutual appreciation of Psilocybin Mushrooms and look to explore the healing powers of this naturally occurring substance. This EP takes a darker tone from Vol I. The introspective nature of Magic Mushrooms brings forth the signals of soul, inner spiritual growth and one's constant strive for balance in this realm. It's within these darker experiences, in the dismemberment of our sense of self and ego, that we find the extent of our own psyche, we understand our limits and are able to muster the courage to push past them and become better creatures.
"Psychonautic, Vol 1" is the inaugural collaboration of Cpektir and Kh3rtis. These artists have come together in their mutual respect for psychedelic exploration to share their experiences, as well as the lessons taken from their experiments. These initial meetings have been immortalised in Vol 1 as they look to demystify and remove the stigma of this gift from the universe.
