The 100th Owlripper (released December 20, 2023) was a biggie; FFO doom, sludge, psychedelic, stoner, grunge, rock & metal, Yob, Monolord, Elephant Tree, Alice In Chains, Windhand, Ufomammut and the like.
It is a fantastic honour to release through Owlripper this wonderfully epic, immersive piece of atmospheric and psychedelic doom by Uncle Woe, a two piece studio project based in Ontario, Canada and Melbourne, Australia.
They specialise in big songs, heavily hypnotic riffs and progressions, in-depth story telling and sublime artwork to wrap their releases inside, and in the case of 'Well', it is no different. There is a stunning animated video to accompany the anthemic title track (which is included in the download here as well).
It's been a pleasure to talk with the immensely talented and driven Rain Fice in the build up to this release, and I absolutely urge you to continue on your journey into the Uncle Woe world after hearing this release, which you can pick up on vinyl on their Bandcamp.

Described as "The perfect band to listen to when you're having a terrible time" but honestly, they have a sound for all seasons and feelings, so please (as The Dark Knight comments on one of their releases on Bandcamp) 'Take a trip down psychedelic prog lane and discover the wonder of Uncle Woe'.
