In 2020, shortly before the world was shut down, Remora was on a new trajectory. Seldom appearing live as a solo project nor having rehearsals in a meaningful way, the project was improvisational with simple concepts shaped by the evening's performers. This piece is built around a music box plinking out an A in a simple rhythm to keep timing & key while the players improvise. I believe this was the last Remora show & at this point it is unclear if there will ever be a resurrection.

This album is ultimately devoted to our Earth, light inside the darkness of today, the microorganisms that are pure and sentient, quiet escapes like the beach at night. Solace is more important than ever. Take a trip to those places when you can and hang on.
i believe the people we meet shape us into who we are, even if in the smallest ways. we pick up habits, fears, loves, opinions, and so much else. without these people we would be nothing. as can be seen in the sky, with stars connecting to form something larger than themselves, something different and special. there was never a single star, only the constellation. this is my constellation.
