The tenth collection of tracks recovered from the archives of the British Experimental Rocket Group (BERG). Many of the recordings in the BERG archives appear to be experiments with electronic sounds and putting instruments through their paces. Over the course of the compilations we have included some of the more structured and 'musical' tracks and this collection is no exception. It seems to be slightly more 'experimental' in tone.

"The Ultimate Adventure" is the debut album from Treguard, a dungeon synth project inspired by the late 80s / early 90s UK children's TV show Knightmare. These tracks build upon the Treguard Demo and delve further into the mysterious world of Knightmare. The ominous dungeon world exerts a mysterious power in return, dragging the recordings back into the world of late 20th century analogue, shrouded in cassette hiss. Aquatic 2 came about in a similar fashion to last yearโs Aquatic. My mate Paul Mallatratt shared some wonderful water centric field recordings a couple of months ago. I also recently picked up a new vintage soft synth. Three new oceanic ambient tracks are the result. I have shared with friends recently that music making is like therapy for me. That is particularly true right now with family health challenges and recent geopolitical events. We all need calm in the middle of the storm. I hope these tracks provide that for you. If you ask me, Arriba Rosario!'s "Improvs de Synth-Punk" isn't exactly punk. Sure, "Neo-Hippies" and "(11/20/23-01/07/24)" come close with some up-tempo pacing on the former and distorted guitar on the latter, which can make me think of Kraftwerk or the like. But when the solos and riffs go in, I hear Mamman Sani, the Sudanese synth explorations of Jantra, or even the 80's oddity "Sons of Ethiopia" by Admas - all things that the Argentinian 19-year-old had never heard of. An artist approaching a prolific output through several aliases for his age, A.R! first reached out with a demo that sounded nothing like this - an hour and a half of vaporwave-d rap songs. After perusing his Bandcamp I stumbled across this release and almost immediately asked if we could put this on cassette. Tรณmhyggja (e. Nihilism) is a single, unbroken piece of dark ambient music. The title is Icelandic for nihilism and tรณmhyggja literally translates to "empty-belief" from tรณm (empty) and hyggja (belief, thought, conviction). It is not a dramatic wordโฆ it simply names a condition: the state of holding nothing. Nihilism has never recovered from its misreading. It is treated as a mood, a phase, a provocation and as something worn rather than reached. The popular imagination places the nihilist in opposition to the world, like shaking a fist at a God they claim not to believe in, their very rage a contradiction. But this is not nihilism. This is grief dressed in borrowed clothes. True nihilism is not a confrontation with meaninglessness. It is a reconciliation with it. Whether that reads as peace or desolation is not a question the album answers. That, too, feels honest.
