This one-hour experimental ambient piece was created during an evening spent meeting people at the Fight Club bar in Tokyo’s Shibuya, Dogenzaka. Specifically, I was walking around Shibuya late at night when I stumbled upon this gym bar, where I was drawn not only to the people but also to the wrestling ring right in the middle of the bar. After I gave the bar a drawing, I made friends with the patrons there and spent the whole night there until morning. I met a lot of great people, and together we created this special drone ambient track on the spot—one that captures the “high atmosphere” of this breathtaking place. The cover is very authentic—during the evening, I offered the guests the chance to start recording that night and then turn it into this ambient piece, with the most important part being that we’d create the cover together right here in the bar. I placed a sketchbook on the barrel-shaped table in the middle, and everyone could draw whatever they wanted—or sign their name. This improvised drawing session resulted in the cover you see here.
