These tracks were composed for a Split that never manifested. They are the last songs I made using DAW software. I thought it would be a shame, to let them collect dust on my harddrive any longer... So here they are for you to enjoy.

A split album with my friend Morbid Monarkia Autumn Hauntings On a stormy night in late October -in the darkest hours before dawn- the voice started calling me… Was it just in my dream? I don’t know… My eyes wander to the dusty banner at the opposite wall. It shows two crossed daggers in front of an oak leaf. The sigil of my family. Maybe the voice belongs to one of my noble ancestors? Maybe it is the vengeful spirit of my mothers sister, who drowned herself in the bog after the unspeakable thing that my degenerate father -the former duke of Green Oakland- did to her? These oh so well known walls around me are suffocating me and crush my spirit. I will leave the warm safety of my home and venture into the darkness… into the unknown… something is waiting… I leave this note in case I won’t return. Don’t come after me… morbidmonarkia.bandcamp.com

Wherever on this globe the season of Winter does exist, there are people coming together around the warmth of a fireplace and tell stories about the winter spirits. One of my favourits amongst this spirits is Yuki-Onna, the japanese snow women. She is like winter itself, full of otherworldly beauty but also deadly at the same time. She wanders around when the snowstorms roar and brings death upon unlucky travelers... But she also has a softer side. One of the most well known tales about Yuki-Onna is the tragic love story between her and a young woodcuter. This album is ment to be a soundtrack for said story.

When winter came to our lands, I left the safety of our town and vanished into the wilderness of the mountains...

In a tavern near one of the trading routes, that lead through Ayaruza, I once meet a group of merchants from the islands in the far east. They told me about a demonic procession, that haunts the roads of their country in the months of summer and kidnaps or kills everyone who doesn’t hide in time. As I didn’t believe them, a elderly man stood up and told his story. Once in the days of his youth, he was taken by the nightly parade of 100 demons and was brought to the court of their lord, where he was forced to work as a servant. One day he met the daughter of the Demon Lord. She was an otherworldly beauty, who was kept by her father like a bird in a golden cage. Both fell in love and decided to run away together. The Demon Lord’s daughter prepared a sleeping poison and put it into the sake of her father and his men. But the plan failed and her father woke up before the two could reach the gate into the human world and he started to chase them. The old man told, that when he and his lover reached the gate, it was like he was struck by lightning and he lost his consciousness. When he woke up, the men found himself in the bright sunlight on a dusty crossroad. His lover was gone and all he saw was a white fox, that vanished into the undergrowth. ---------- This album was inspired by Japanese folklore and uses several motives from Japanese myths. I used this bits of folklore at my best knowledge and with the highest respect for the culture of the people of Japan. I hope that I was able to create something enjoyable for everyone.

The kingdom of Ayaruza is a dark land filled with horror: Here live vampires, witches, ghosts, and other nameless beings... This album tells the story of the beautiful Isabella, who, caught in a sudden thunderstorm, takes refuge in an abandoned abbey. But she is not alone! An unholy vampire has also made this decrepit place his home, and will devour any victims that wander into these darkened ruins.

Odhinn (also known as Wodan) is one of the oldest gods of the Indo-Germanic pantheon. He was likely worshipped during the bronze age, or maybe even before those times. He is a god with many faces, who often walks among the mortals dressed as a simple wanderer. He is always seeking wisdom and even gave one of his eyes for more knowledge about the true nature of all things. His ravens fly across the worlds and tell him secrets and rumours, which they hear on their travels. There are stories which tell us how he sacrificed himself to receive the runes from the dead. This is how he brought writing into our world. But Odhinn also has a dark side. Some folk-tales in Germany tell that he lives as an evil spirit beneath mountains and send out storms from there. There are also stories of him riding trough the wintery night sky with a group of ghostly hunters. Whoever meets this Wild Hunt will be taken away with them and will never be seen again by human eyes. Furthermore Odhinn is known as a god of war. He decides witch party will win a battle and chooses the bravest among the fallen for his own army. These heroes will fight at his side in the final battle that will mark the end of our world. Odhinn unites many aspects. He is a wanderer, a sorcerer, a teacher, a judge, a shaman and a warrior. He can be as good as he can be cruel… This album aims to discover some of his diverse faces. It should not be mistaken as a political or religious statement by any means. The Norse Mythology is part of humanity’s collective cultural heritage. The old stories may be enjoyed by everyone who likes to listen to them.
